| For a reverant celebration of the Eucharist, ALL SCHEDULED MINISTERS, who cannot fulfill your assigned duty, please call the Sacristan by the Friday | ||||||||
| previous to your scheduled Sunday ministry. Call the Parish Office (Sharon) @ 252-0119 so the change can be made on the planner for that week. | ||||||||
| Attention Proclaimers: | ||||||||
| Starting the weekend of Sept. 11-12, we will be implementing the Children's Offertory Envelopes at all Eucharists. The children will be an example of | ||||||||
| what it is to be a disciple of Christ by offering their gifts of time, talent, and treasure. After the priest has said the Closing Prayer at the Prayers of the | ||||||||
| Faithful, your role as 1st Proclaimer will be to read the following : "We now invite the children to come forward with their offetory envelopes listing their | ||||||||
| gifts of time, talent, and treasure." This will be typed at the bottom of the Prayers of the Faithful. Then the Offertory Song will start & you will go back | ||||||||
| to your pew as the children bring forward their envelopes. | ||||||||
| Attention Sacristans: When preparing the vessels and linens for the Eucharist on the Credence Table, Fr. Bitz asked that we not place the | ||||||||
| Purificatoron the Presiders chalice-rather place it beside the chalice. In the next weeks we will have new altar servers. They are taught where to | ||||||||
| find the vessels & cloths. It can be confusing to them if items are at different places from their training. If you have forgotten where to place the | ||||||||
| vessels and cloths, the photo on the chalice cupboard door might be helpful. | ||||||||
| A reminder to all Eucharistic Ministers: The chalices and plates are to remain on the Credence Table until the priest has completed the | ||||||||
| cleansing of all vessels at the altar. The Sacristan then takes them from the Credence Table and hands them to the person who served Cup #6. | ||||||||
| Thisperson hands them to another minister or places them on the washing table. For cleansing vessels we are still trying to wash and wipe the | ||||||||
| chalices first if at all possible. | ||||||||
