Free Throw Contest
Our annual Free throw contest will be coming up in December. It is open to all girls and boys ages 10-14. More info and times will follow in the next newsletter. Get your kids practicing.
Building Committee
There are a couple openings on our Building Committee. If you have any interest in serving and taking a role in running the KC Club—talk to me or one of the other board members.
Grand Knight’s Corner
Fall is now fully upon us. Not sure where the summer went, but it is gone and the winds are cold! We have many events planned over the next several months. Please keep an eye on the “Dates to Remember” section of the newsletter for the schedule.
We are also planning some improvements to the
club in the next few months. Handicap accessible parking (already started), a new 52 inch big screen TV to go along with our two current 40 inch models, high definition programming (great to watch football), and a remodel of the restrooms.
During October we held our second Sunday breakfast of the fall and a Columbus Day burger feed. The events were chaired by Steve Vandal and Darcy Herman respectively. We had good turnouts each day and several KC members donated time to make the events a success. Thank you to everyone who helped out.
Turkey Bingo
It doesn't seem like it should be here already, but Thanksgiving is just around the corner. On November 16th and 23rd we will be holding our annual Turkey Bingo at the KC Hall. Dave Barnick will chair the event again this year. He will be needing some help, so it’s a great opportunity to volunteer without doing any breakfast dishes—give him a call. If you like to play, bring the whole family down to win a Thanksgiving turkey or one of the special game prizes—Fred Barnick’s Smoked Turkeys.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving and remember to give thanks for a bountiful harvest season.
Vivat Jesus!
